A few things about me… ten to be exact.
- I love many Woody Allen films, and hate a few. I tend to react strongly one way or the other; the only one I can remember being lukewarm about was “Match Point.”
- My favorite flower is the lily. Specifically so-called “oriental” varieties (such as Stargazer), and daylilies. Calla lilies are ok, but I prefer the “star-shaped” types.
- I am primarily of German, French, Dutch, Scottish, and English ancestry. As with most people, there are likely a few more things in the mix I don’t know about.
- I have severe arachnophobia (an intense, sometimes illogical fear of spiders). It seems I have always had it, as my first sentence as a toddler was “Daddy, kill the spider!”
- You actually use “sha’mon” in conversation. Bonus points if you did that before 2009.
- You notice the difference when it goes from “mama-say-mama-sa-ma-ma-koo-sa” to “mama-say-mama-sa-mama koosa” (that’s phonetically, of course, not the actual spelling of those words).
- Your child(ren) can identify Michael on sight, no matter what point in his life or career they’re looking at.
- Michael, or related persons/symbols pop up in your dreams, even if those dreams have nothing to do with him/them otherwise.
- If someone says something that brings to mind an MJ song, you have to start singing it or reciting lyrics (at least in your head).
- Your ringtone is now, or has been, Michael-related.
- When you hear one of Michael’s songs on the radio, it feels weird when the song that follows isn’t the next track from the album.
- You’ve given children, cars, pets, stuffed animals… MJ-related names.
- You know which songs on the “Michael” album just don’t feel right.
- You treat “The Wiz” as if it’s “Citizen Kane,” when, in reality, it’s only good because of Michael.
This is a post about some people who truly appreciate those who appreciate them. In other words, celebs/artists who treat fans well.

This is the first in a planned series of “if I could keep only 10 songs by…” entries.
As most of you know, Color Me Badd has been a huge part of my life for 20 years now. So, I figured I’d start with them and take it from there.
If I could keep only 10 songs by Color Me Badd, I think they would be…
Some of these opinions will not be “popular” ones, but here they are.
01. – “Two of Hearts” by Stacie Q. coming on the radio as I started my car today. The visual of Seth Green dancing to that song as James St. James in “Party Monster” springs to mind every time I hear it. Never fails to make me giggle.

I really enjoyed this guy’s cover of “Close to Heaven” by Color Me Badd, and I think you might, too. 
So, there’s a WordPress app for my iPhone (which I’m posting from right now). That will make it much easier to blog “on the go,” so to speak. So, yay for that.
A rundown of my five favorite albums.
#1 – “Off the Wall” by Michael Jackson
This was the first album I ever bought. I was five years old, and I got it on cassette with the birthday money I had received from relatives. This is still a fantastic album, but I usually rely on a digital version these days.
In recent years, I’ve grown to love “Thriller” very much, so it’s pretty close to a tie at this point. However, “Off the Wall” has the nostalgia factor going for it, and “Thriller” has a few of the overplayed MJ hits that I tend to skip past simply out of… rebellion, I guess you could say (such as the title track, Beat It and Billie Jean). “Off the Wall” remains something I can just sit and listen to in its entirety… multiple times.
